I thought it best to add a page now about the Import CSV plugin. This plugin allows you to import a CSV file into your wordpress blog. You can set it to drip feed in or drop a whole feed in one go.
Depending on the complexity of your feed, it might be best to split your feed into records of 500 or less, I have heard issues of running larger feeds in one go, it can hang your site.

You will need to know a little bit about spreadsheets to build a csv file but once done it will literally save you hours of work.
